    Campbellsville Lions Club hosted eye screenings for children 2 to 5 years old on May 29 at the Learning Tree CDC.

  • Sprowles speaks at BPW meeting

    Sherry Sprowles, right, lab coordinator at the new Sleep Disorders Center, was the guest speaker for April at the Campbellsville Business & Professional Women's Club. Sprowles handed out brochures describing the identification, diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea along with information on sleep and heart disease, restless leg syndrome, sleep and depression and snoring.   • Rockwell-Stillwell

    Amanda Lynn Rockwell of Greensburg and Aaron Keith Stillwell of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 20.

    Rockwell is the daughter of Chrys and Terry Runnels of Greensburg and the late Chuck Rockwell.

    Stillwell is the son of Debbie and Keith Stillwell of Campbellsville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Mt. Roberts Baptist Church in Campbellsville. A double reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall for the couple and her sister, Ashley Nicole Rockwell, and Barney Lee Smothers, who are marrying the same day.

    Brooklyn Jade England celebrated her second birthday April 23 with family and friends. She is the daughter of Joey and Kathy England. Her grandparents are Mark Oakes, Harold and Helen Janes and Gary and Khristy England. Great-grandparents are Stanley and Henrietta Oakes, Beachy Marcum and Helen England.

  • Birth Announcements

    Tyler and Laura Tucker of Campbellsville announce the birth of a daughter, Avery Marie, at 4:04 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. She weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 19 inches long.

    Grandparents are Larry and Cindy Henderson of Nicholasville, Chris Tucker of Campbellsville and the late Jane Tucker.

    Great-grandparents are Lula Henderson of Huntsville, Ala., Ruth Waldrop of Nicholasville; Elwood and Peggy Tucker of Campbellsville and the late Thomas and Eleandor Cox, N.B. Henderson and Melvin Waldrop.

  • Durham honored for his 90th birthday

    John Durham, right, was recently honored for his 90th birthday at Palestine Baptist Church. He is pictured with interim pastor Dr. Charles Hedrick, who presented him with a gift card. Durham was 90 on May 17.

  • Rhoades-Beard

    Billy Joe and Becky Lowe of Greensburg announce the engagement of their daughter, JoAnne Raychel Rhoades, to Scott Anthony Beard, the son of Jack and Louann Beard of Campbellsville.

    Rhoades is a student at Western Kentucky University and employed at Dairy Queen.

    Beard is employed at TG Kentucky in Lebanon.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 20 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greensburg. A reception will follow at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Greensburg.

  • Watson donates to Locks of Love

    Hayley Noel Watson, 9, had 13 inches of her hair cut and donated it to Locks of Love, an organization that provides hair to children with medical-related hair loss. Watson is the daughter of Carlton and Rhonda Watson.

  • Greenes to celebrate anniversary Saturday, June 13

    Tommy and Jean Greene will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

    The Greenes were married on June 13, 1959.

    They have three children, Annette Sprowles and her husband, Mike, and Joey Greene and his wife, Amy, all of Campbellsville, and Scott Greene and his wife, LeAnne, of Louisville.

    The Greenes also have six grandchildren, Eric Sprowles, Hunter Sprowles, Spencer Greene, Andrew Greene, Katelynn Greene and Jackson Greene, and four great-grandchildren, Riley Sprowles, Holden Sprowles, Gracie Montgomery and Miley Sprowles.
