Updated smoking ordinance being considered by council

-A A +A
By Josh Claywell

The Campbellsville City Council heard the first reading on an updated smoking ordinance in Monday’s meeting at the Campbellsville Civic Center.

A ban on smoking in any enclosed area in buildings open to the public was adopted in 2009. The updated ordinance was expanded to include every type of smoking material, whether it’s cigarettes, E-cigarettes, Juuls or vaping devices.

Under the updated measure, smoking shall be prohibited in all enclosed public places, including all enclosed places of employment within the city of Campbellsville.
