Santa Claus has helpers each year during the holiday season. Yet, many people in Taylor County give of themselves all year long. If you know of such a person, the Campbellsville Kiwanis would like to honor that person.

Kiwanis are seeking the person who most embodies the Christmas spirit everyday - all year long. And they'll name that person this year's Santa's Helper.

If you know someone who fits the description, then this is your chance to give that person the credit deserved. Write in and nominate the person explaining why he or she is deserving of this year's Santa's Helper award. Be sure to include some of the things the nominee has done in order to earn such a title.

The winner of the award will be decided on by a Campbellsville Kiwanis Club committee, based on the content of the letters sent.

The winner will be presented a plaque and will light up the community Christmas tree and other lights at Miller Park during a special ceremony. In addition, a story will be published about the winner in the Central Kentucky News-Journal.

Nominations should be mailed to: Santa's Helper, c/o Central Kentucky News-Journal, P.O. Box 1138, Campbellsville, Ky. 42719; e-mailed to editor@cknj.com or faxed to 465-2500. You may also personally deliver the nominations to the newspaper office at 428 Woodlawn Ave.

Include the person's name, address, telephone number and detailed reasons and examples of why he or she is the best choice for this year's Santa's Helper Award. The deadline for nominations is Monday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.

Include your name, address and phone number in case the Kiwanis need to contact you. For more information, contact Donna Kerr at 465-1709.
