Campbellsville native returns after working in Florida schools

By Zac Oakes

Kentucky Christian Academy has hired a new administrator to lead the school.

Alicia Riggs, a Campbellsville native now living in St. Petersburg, Florida, was chosen as the new school administrator at KCA.

Riggs will be replacing current administrator Lori Eubank, who will be retiring effective next month. Riggs will officially begin her new position June 18.

Riggs completed a rigorous process, going through a search committee, an interview committee, and the KCA Board of Directors before ultimately being chosen for the position.

Riggs’ educational experience includes a stint as principal at St. Augustine School in Lebanon, as well as opening a private school in Florida.

Riggs holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and said she has spent the last five years working to build a school support program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

She recently sent a letter to KCA parents introducing herself to the community as a whole and expressing her desire to see the school grow.

“Kentucky Christian Academy has been tended and loved for more than 25 years,” Riggs wrote. “The past leadership has placed it in a position of growth and momentum. With the help of the families, faculty, and staff, I am ready to lead KCA to become the best choice for school in the Central Kentucky area.

I am passionate about my faith and my love of Jesus. I am so excited to be back in a faith-centered environment and to share the joy of Christ with the students and families of KCA.”

She is married to Alan Riggs and the couple has three children: Kelsey, 27; Rachel, 24; and Peter, 13.

Riggs will be able to be reached at administrator@kcawarriors.com or through the school office at 270-789-2462.
