Resident accused of assaulting rescue, law enforcement personnel

A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with assaulting rescue and law enforcement personnel while they were treating him.

Christopher C. Burress, 26, of 109 McNary St., was arrested Saturday, July 13, at 10:24 p.m.

According to Burress' arrest citation, he is accused of assaulting personnel on Dec. 27, 2010, when they attempted to help him onto a stretcher.

Burress was charged with third-degree assault of a fire, EMS or rescue employee, which is a Class D felony, punishable by as much as five years in prison.
