Man suffers minor injuries after being hit with side mirror of passing car

A Campbellsville man was treated and released at Taylor Regional Hospital after being struck by a car early Thursday morning.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Hurrican J. Sheppard, 35, was walking south on KY 289 at 5:50 a.m. when he was struck by the passenger side mirror of a 2005 Ford driven by Campbellsville Police Lt. Terry Lile, who was on his way to work.

According to KSP Public Affairs Officer Billy Gregory, Sheppard was walking on the white line and was wearing dark clothing. It was dark at the time.
