A Campbellsville man was arrested Tuesday night after robbing one local business at gunpoint while attempting to rob two others.

Campbellsville Police say 35-year-old William K. Graham of Campbellsville was arrested near apartment buildings on Risen Avenue after he robbed the Dollar General Store on Old Lebanon Road at gunpoint at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

After leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash, he allegedly attempted to rob the Dollar General store at Federal Place on Broadway at gunpoint roughly 40 minutes later, but CPD stated in a release that he did not leave with any money. Finally, police say Graham attempted to rob TEG Food Mart on Greensburg Road but was once again unsuccessful and left the scene.

When fleeing the scene from TEG Food Mart, the suspect collided with a vehicle and left the area.

Officers were able to gather a vehicle description and located the vehicle behind the apartments on Risen Avenue off South Columbia Avenue.

Graham was arrested at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, according to Campbellsville Police. He faces three first-degree robbery charges, a DUI charge, leaving the scene of an accident, and seven other traffic charges. He was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.

Detective Jonathon Leigh is the investigating officer. Taylor County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police assisted with the investigation.
