A Campbellsville man was arrested after being found naked, sleeping in a bedroom inside a residence that he had allegedly broken into in Jamestown, according to a report from the Russell County Sheriff’s Department.

Russell County Sheriff’s Deputies Lt. David Cain and Deputy Nathan Ginn arrested Joshua Morton, 36, of Campbellsville, without incident. Morton was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing charges.

The incident occurred Wednesday morning when Russell County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary call at 8:16 a.m. to a residence belonging to McKee Moore at 29 Lawless Court in Jamestown.

The call came after a cleaning service arrived at the house and discovered that the residence had been broken into upon their arrival.

Cain and Ginn searched the residence for possible perpetrators, and during the search, discovered Morton naked, asleep in a bedroom of the residence.

Morton was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center at 9:22 a.m. No bond has been set according to the Russell County Detention Center.
