Library Notes: Many thanks from the library!

It’s been an exciting few weeks here at the Taylor County Public Library!

I am adjusting to my new role as the library director, and the staff is adjusting to me.

Elaine Munday, our new cataloger and former director, has been incredibly welcoming. She’s passing along her knowledge and duties with true grace.

I could not hope for a better transition. Elaine seems to be settling into her new role as cataloger with ease. I even detect a bit of joy when she defers meetings with our IT consultant to me.

So far, I’ve had the opportunity to meet several of our “regulars,” but know there are many library users whom I have not yet meet.

I hope you will feel free to stop by and introduce yourself. I’d love to hear suggestions for the future and praise for the past.

We are certainly entering a new chapter here at the library. We look forward to a newly renovated building, increased programming, and new materials.

This is your library! We’re here to serve the people of Taylor County so please stop by, say hello, and let us know what we can do to better serve you!
