The Taylor County Public Library was full of children and their parents on Friday evening as the library staff kicked off their summer reading program.

With an Elvis Presley impersonator, karaoke, limbo contests, and much more, the library was quite a hot spot for entertainment to get area youth and teens involved and excited for the upcoming programs.

Taylor County Public Library has several programs available for youth, teens, and all ages this summer.

Starting off, the library will be offering free lunches to those 18 and under Monday-Friday from June 4 until June 29.

On Wednesdays at 2 p.m. during the month of June, the library will offer June Crafternoons, a craft time from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesdays for children and parents.

Children ages 3 and 4 can stop by the library for Preschool Story Hour on Thursdays at 10 a.m.

On Fridays at 10 a.m., Gardening with Gail is a popular program offered by volunteer Gail Grisso, a local gardening expert. Pre-registration is required for this program. Also on Friday, at the Miller Park Playground, the library will be set up for Park + Play at 10 a.m.
