Metcalfe upends TCHS Lady Cards 47-57

By Bobby Brockman

No one would ever realize that Metcalfe County’s Lady Hornets entered their road game at Taylor County at 5-13 and coming off a six-game losing skid.
6-2 freshman MacKenzie Coleman and sophomore guard Jordan Samuels powered the visitors of coach Peter DiStefano to a 47-37 triumph in somewhat easy fashion.
The Lady Hornets, whose other three starters were juniors, tallied their first 34 points on 17 two-point field goals before hitting five of six free throws around four more deuces down the stretch.
