Lady Dragons, Indians wear Heartland golf crowns

AC's Giles, Green's Scantland earn top individual honors.

Adair County defeated Taylor County in a one-hole, five-man play-off to win the boys’ title while Green County claimed the girls’ crown at the Heartland Athletic Conference Golf Tournament at Campbellsville Country Club on Tuesday.
Van Giles paced the Indians’ to the boys’ championship with a tourney-leading 75, one shot ahead of Taylor County’s Wade Cave.
Cassidy Scantland led the Lady Dragons with a 73 and won girls’ top honors after beating Ellen Kehoe of Taylor County in the fourth hole of a play-off.
