Heartland Parkway meeting is tomorrow

The Heartland Parkway Foundation Board of Directors will meet tomorrow. The meeting will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Chowning Executive Dining Room inside Campbellsville University’s Winters Dining Hall.
U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie will provide an update on the pending federal transportation authorization bill. Patty Dunaway and members of her staff from the Elizabethtown office of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will share an update on the completion of the planning study on the Columbia/Campbellsville portion of the proposed project.

The 60-mile Heartland Parkway will connect Louie B. Nunn Parkway at Columbia with the Martha Layne Collins Bluegrass Parkway at Springfield by widening the existing KY 55/U.S. 68/KY 555 route to four lanes.
Locally, the project includes widening KY 210 from U.S. 68 to KY 3183 and widening KY 55 to five lanes from KY 1625 to U.S. 68.
