Campbellsville’s 12-year-old All-Star squad saw its Little League State Tournament run end on Thursday with a 4-2 semi-final loss to Knox County in Prestonsburg.
Knox County hit a three-run, top-of-the-first-inning home run and Campbellsville never recovered.
Knox went up 4-0 in the second before the local squad tallied single runs in the second and sixth innings.
In the second. Grant McQueary singled and Treyce Mattingly reached on an error before Wyatt Houk’s ground-out making it 4-1.
