SPCA looks to grow in community

Taylor County’s revived SPCA group is forging ahead with several projects to get more involved in the community.

The group met on Monday night and discussed the development of its Facebook page and sponsoring a competition for school children to create its new logo.

SPCA member Pat Abell said the group made T-shirts several years ago to sell as a fundraiser.

Wigginton named to dean's list at Centre College

Hope Wigginton of Campbellsville has been named to the dean's list for the fall term at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.6 grade point average.

Wigginton is the daughter of Dr. Scott and Elizabeth Wigginton of Campbellsville and is a Taylor County High School graduate.

Founded in 1819, Centre College in Danville is ranked by U.S.News and World Report among the country's top 50 national liberal arts colleges and is the most affordable college in that group.
