Taylor County defeated Adair County 84-54 on Saturday night to capture the Cardinals' third straight 20th District Tournament championship. The Cardinals will play Bethlehem in the Fifth Region Tournament on Thursday at 6 at Green County.
Taylor gains third straight district crown

 

Taylor County made it three 20th District Tournament titles in a row with an 84-54 whipping of Adair County on Saturday night in Paul J. Coop Gymnasium at Campbellsville.

Quentin Goodin paced the Cardinals with 26 points and became the school's all-time leading scorer on a three-point play with 4:15 left in the contest.

Taylor County will play Bethlehem on Thursday (6:00) in the bottom bracket of the Fifth Region Tournament at Green County.
