  • Davis, Smith plan to keep CHS...

Tim Davis and Kirby Smith plan on keeping their same Campbellsville High School coaching roles for the 2009-2010 seasons.

Some folks got the idea that Tim Davis had resigned his coaching position. He did, one of them. He will no longer be the golf coach, but definitely plans on guiding the Eagle boys' basketball team.

It will be Davis' 15th season at CHS and his 27th as a head coach.

Smith, who was named CHS principal, would like to remain as the Eagles' head baseball coach.

  • All region baseball champs go to...

There's an old saying that if you keep a tie long enough it will come back into style. That will be the case with state tournament baseball.

For 2010, all 16 regional winners will advance to Applebee's Park to compete for the championship and the semi-state will be eliminated.

The regional tournament will start Memorial Day with second round action that Thursday and the finals the following Tuesday, giving everyone a week and a half to play their regional tournament. The single elimination state tournament with all 16 teams would start that next Monday.
