    Taylor County actually won the second and third quarters (40-39), but it was the start and final periods that were the difference in John Hardin’s 89-63 home triumph over the Cardinals on Friday night.
    After falling behind 29-15 at the end of the first eight minutes, Taylor County won the second frame 21-18 to trail only 47-36 at the intermission. Caleb Wigginton scored 16 of his team-high 20 points in the first half for the Cardinals.
    Trailing 68-55 going to the final segment, TCHS (14-13) saw the Bulldogs go on a 21-8 game-ending run.

    Lady Tigers clinch third straight MSC regular-season title with 120-64 Saturday rout over St. Catharine
    The Campbellsville University Lady Tigers needed a win to clinch their third straight Mid-South regular season title and they got it Saturday against St. Catharine College 120-64 in Powell Athletic Center.
    The game was won in the first six minutes as CU (23-3, 15-1) blew out to a 22-5 lead and the Lady Tigers led by 33 before settling on a 57-26 half-time advantage.

  • Lady Tigers prevail, CU men drop...

    Lady Tigers use defense to blow out Pikeville
    The last time the Lady Tigers played Pikeville the Lady Bears gave them everything they wanted in an 85-76 CU win. However, on Thursday night the Lady Tigers gave Pikeville everything they wanted and the result was another win (85-50).
    Campbellsville (20-3, 13-1) held Pikeville to 15 first-half points in building a 41-15 advantage at the intermission and were never threatened.

  • Eagles pull away in last three...

    Campbellsville High School pulled away from a small 11-10 first-quarter lead to romp past Bethlehem 71-50 on  Friday night in Paul J. Coop Gymnasium.
    The Eagles (16-8) put up a strong 19-6 second quarter and won the final frame 24-17.
    Jordan Percell hit nine of 10 shots from the floor to finish with 24 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots to pace CHS.
    Matthew Davis added 15 points for the Eagles while Lake Wiseman and Taylor Levi tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively.
