    Green County High School junior right-hander Brennen Milby retired the first 20 batters on Saturday before Eagle senior Aylette Cowherd was hit by a pitch. Milby finished his no-hitter as the Dragons blanked home-standing Campbellsville 1-0.

    Taylor County’s baseball team defeated Green County 21-13 at home on Friday and edged Elizabethtown 2-1 in nine innings on Monday before dropping an 11-6 road decision at Russell County on Tuesday.

    Baseball Tigers receive at-large bid to NAIA Opening Round
    Campbellsville University has received an at-large bid to the NAIA Baseball Opening Round Tournament, the national office announced Sunday.
    The Tigers climbed two spots to No. 27 in the final coaches’ poll Sunday, good enough for the No. 12 at-large bid. CU draws a No. 4 seed in the Opening Round Tournament at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn., hosted by the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

  • There will always be just one...

    I often tell the story about how I was so sure between the ages of 17 and 22 that I would never return to my native Campbellsville and Taylor County and would live the rest of my life in Big Orange Country.
    A lot of things, but not all, happen for a reason.
    And, this is a sure-fire case that my moving back to Central Kentucky was a good one for me.
    Not only did I get to meet new folks, I also got to broaden friendships and relationships I wouldn’t have had I stayed in Knoxville.
