    Taylor County used three second-half goals to decision visiting Campbellsville in boys’ high school soccer action on Tuesday night.
    The Cardinals (5-2-2) tallied first on Jordan Nicholas’ goal with 37:05 left in the game and the senior scored again at 22:38.
    Will Miller, who assisted Nicholas’ second goal, made it 3-0 at 19:02.
    Eagle Cass Kidwell helped CHS (2-8) avoid the shutout with a score at 10:11.
    Campbellsville visits Clinton County tonight while Taylor County plays at Elizabethtown.

  • CHS JV grid team rolls over...

    Campbellsville High School’s junior-varsity football squad made it 2-0 with an 48-0 home rout over Green County on Monday night.
    Devonte Cubit started the scoring on a 60-yard touchdown run on the game’s first play from scrimmage. Cubit also added the two-point conversion for an 8-0 start.
     Daejoun Smith tackled the Green County quarterback in the  end zone for safety and a 10-0 cushion.
     Cubit then connected with Austyn Thornton for a 35-yard score and Charles Johnson ran in the conversion.

    Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble on Friday
    The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Golf Scramble at the Campbellsville Country Club on Friday, September 19 at 12:30. The Chamber is seeking $100 corporate sponsorships and $50 sponsorships for the 18 holes. For more information, contact Judy Cox at 270-465-8601.

  • Youth soccer kicks off season

    The Campbellsville Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) made more history with its biggest kick-off ceremony and first games of the fall season on Sept. 6 with many familiar faces in attendance.
    Among the hundreds gathered at the Paul E. Osborne Recreation Area were Mayor Tony Young and County Judge/Executive Eddie Rogers. Young and Rogers took pictures with the young athletes and each kicked out a first ball to begin the day’s festivities.

    Taylor County High School captured the girls' and boys' golf championships at Campbellsville Country Club on Monday.

    The Lady Cardinals made it back-to-back titles as TCHS senior Ellen Kehoe claimed her third straight individual title with a 68.

    The Taylor County boys made it two crowns in the last three years.

    Adair County's Riley Grant earned boys' medalist honors with a 66.
