    Adair County captured its first girls’ 20th District Tournament championship since 2006 and only its fifth overall with a 49-39 triumph over Marion County on Friday night. Both teams advance to the Fifth Region Tournament at North Hardin.

  • Taylor County ousts...

    Taylor County saw a 15-point lead evaporate to five just before intermission, but the Cardinals got back on track en route to an 89-53 rout of home-standing Campbellsville in the 20th District Tournament on Wednesday night.
    Brandon Berry’s 16 first-half points (in the first 11 minutes and 10 by Quentin Goodin pushed the Cardinals to a 40-25 advantage.
    However, senior Damontez Smith had seven of his first-half 16 in the final two minutes bo bring the Eagles to within five (40-35) at intermission.
