Tigers’ baseball season ends at the hands of St. Francis 6-3
For the second time in as many days, a seventh-inning rally was the difference as Campbellsville University fell to the University St. Francis (Ill.) 6-3 in the NAIA Opening Round Baseball Tournament at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.
The Saints, who had scored five in the seventh Thursday for a 6-3 win over the Tigers, put together a three-run inning Friday to push past Campbellsville.

CU teams make post-season play

Baseball Tigers receive at-large bid to NAIA Opening Round
Campbellsville University has received an at-large bid to the NAIA Baseball Opening Round Tournament, the national office announced Sunday.
The Tigers climbed two spots to No. 27 in the final coaches’ poll Sunday, good enough for the No. 12 at-large bid. CU draws a No. 4 seed in the Opening Round Tournament at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn., hosted by the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Lady Tigers get beat in MSC Tourney ‘if necessary’ tilt
Campbellsville University forced an if necessary game Saturday, but Lindsey Wilson put away their third straight MSC Softball Tournament championship by scoring nine first-inning runs in the title tilt, winning 20-2.
The Lady Tigers had won six straight tourney games (after a loss in the opener) to force a second game, taking charge of the morning encounter 11-7 on the shoulders of Courtney Turpin’s seven-hit, complete-game win.
