Washington County School System teachers - one with Campbellsville ties - recently received Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching awards.

Christie Metcalf of Washington County Elementary School, a CU alumna, was one of those recently honored.

Metcalf is a fourth-grade science teacher at Washington County Elementary school, where she has taught since 1999.
