I'm currently accepting nominees for the next installment of the "Kentucky's Everyday Heroes" book series, third volume. The criterion is: A living Kentuckian who has overcome extreme personal challenges and/or has given of themselves in a noble and sacrificial way. Their lives serve as examples to inspire others to greater acts of character.

The nominee would be considered "ordinary," mostly only known to people in their communities, but will have an "extraordinary" lasting impact.

As many in the community are aware, food insecurity situations continue to increase throughout Central and South Central Kentucky due to increasing financial struggles. Fortunately, many individuals, groups and organizations are choosing to make a difference in helping feed the hungry.

Feeding America, Kentucky's Heartland staff and board of directors would like to take this opportunity to thank the National Association of Letter Carriers, the U.S. Postal Service and all individuals who donated food to the 19th Annual "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive on May 14.

I am writing to acknowledge my support for Shelby County Judge/Executive Rob Rothenburger for Kentucky's next Agriculture Commissioner and to ask for your support.

Words cannot begin to express my gratitude for the generous support for The Caring Place shown by the communities of Campbellsville, Lebanon, Springfield and Bardstown.

Your generous donations of money and gift certificates, volunteer support and participation in the first annual Stick Horse - Egg & Spoon Derby was fantastic.
