The Olympics are coming! The Olympics are coming!

Actually, they've already arrived and the world has taken notice. For the 29th games, the Olympics are taking place in Beijing, China. The city is 12 hours ahead of Bardstown so most of what we see will have already taken place. But the excitement is still there, regardless of the time difference.

I'll admit, I was a little worried. The cell phone call came at 4:30 Friday afternoon. A robotic voice told me of a problem with my Taylor County Bank card and that I should call back to sort out the problem.

I didn't think much about that first call. After all, I don't have a Taylor County Bank card. Still, stories of identity theft began circling around my brain. The thought of someone taking advantage of my limited financial resources for their own gain has been a long held fear of mine.

Have you ever wished you could turn back time and do something over again? And do it differently?

When we received a press release recently about World Breastfeeding Month in August, I immediately thought about my children. I breastfed all three of my children, though I stopped nursing my eldest son after about three months, about the time I went back to work. I didn't know how to work and breastfeed at the same time.

Big, bold letters stated, "Lord help me this day to keep my big mouth shut." A family member had given a T-shirt printed with those words to my favorite aunt in the late 1970s.

Aunt Debbie was known for speaking her opinion in those days. Today, she's still opinionated, but certainly softer spoken.

I'm guessing it would be fair to say that most of us have been guilty at some point in our lives of speaking a little too freely. I've confessed the sin of the tongue - unfortunately more than once - in the confessional booth.
