It was a dream come true for Brennan Wheatley as he suited up in his Campbellsville Police uniform.

The soon-to-be 23-year-old with Down syndrome has wanted to be a cop for as long as his family can remember.

“Today means so much to me because Brennan has always wanted to be a police officer,” Sueann Wheatley, Brennan’s mother, said. “He sees that they help people and he has such a loving heart ... he wanted to be like that. He wants to help.”
