  • Man injured after crashing motorcycle

    A Campbellsville man was injured after crashing his motorcycle while trying to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Terry Gribbins, 50, of Berry Road, was driving a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle west on Berry Road last Saturday at about 5:30 p.m.

    The report states that a dog ran into the path of Gribbins' motorcycle. After Gribbins struck the dog, he lost control of his motorcycle, ran into a ditch and overturned.

    Taylor County High School recently observed National School Breakfast Week.

    The week's winners were Jermiah Messer, Brian Pelcher, Brenton Benningfield, Kayla McStoots, Lexus Denham and Malorie Byrne. Absent for the photo is Jacob Rice.

  • TC schools recognized for technology innovation

    Taylor County School District has once again been recognized for implementation and innovation of technology in the classroom.

    Taylor and Carroll counties were among 30 top-ranking districts nationwide in the 10th annual Digital School District Survey conducted by the National School Board Association and the Center for Digital Education.

    Carroll County tied for fourth place and Taylor County Schools placed ninth in the small district category.

  • TC Bank to host American Heart Association Heart Walk

    Taylor County Bank will host its annual American Heart Association Heart Walk on Wednesday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Miller Park walking track.

    The first 50 participants will receive a free goody bag. There will be various booths to visit and door prizes will be given to participants.

    All donations will go to the American Heart Association.
