The annual automatic 3-percent increase in the city’s water and sewer rates will go into effect on July 1.
The increase comes as a result of an ordinance Campbellsville City Council members passed last year. At a council meeting Monday night, council members opted to take no action. The increase is automatic unless the city’s water committee recommends keeping the rates the same.
At Monday night’s meeting, Council member David Nunery, who sits on the water committee, recommended the increase.
