  • TCHS honors band students

     

    Taylor County High School Band hosted its band banquet on May 4 and senior members were honored for their years of dedication and commitment to the program.

    All-district, all-state, honor band, jazz band, solo and ensemble and winter guard members were recognized, as were individual award winners.

    TCHS football coach Eric Graves was the guest speaker and was also awarded the Friend of the Band Award for his relationship with the band program.

  • Taylor County schools will offer summer food program

    Taylor County School will again offer the Kentucky Summer Food Service Program.

    Meals will be served at no charge for those age 18 and younger.

    The meals will be available May 28-31, June 3-6, July 15-18 and July 22-25 at Taylor County High School from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

    Meals will also be served at Taylor County Public Library from noon to 12:30 p.m. on May 28-31, June 3-6, June 10-12, June 17-19, June 24-26, July 1-3, July 8-10, July 15-17 and July 22-24.

  • Campbellsville Schools will offer summer food program

    Campbellsville Independent Schools will again participate in the Summer Food Service Program.

    Meals will be served in the Campbellsville High School cafeteria Tuesday through Friday to children at no charge. The program began May 21 and continues through May 31.

    Breakfast will be served from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. and lunch will be from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

  • TCMS students participate in national Beta leadership summit

     

    Taylor County Middle School students recently participated in the national Beta leadership summit at Great Wolf Lodge in Cincinnati, Ohio.

    While there, the students took part in a variety of activities designed to encourage and develop their leadership skills.

    These students were encouraged to use their leadership abilities in serving others in their school and community.

    Students who attended are Matti Blakeman, Madison Lauer, Micah Lauer, Ben Bertram and Zack Shewmaker.

    Charles T. and Mina L. Hedgespeth of Campbellsville will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 1.

    Greg and Tiffany Floyd were honored with a baby shower recently at Good Hope Baptist Church.

    Jamie Richerson of Campbellsville graduated from Elizabethtown Community College School of Nursing on Saturday, May 17, during the college's spring semester pinning ceremony at Severns Valley Baptist Church.

  • Rotary Club scholarship winners announced

     

    This year's winners of the Campbellsville Rotary Club scholarship were recently announced.

    Grace Arnold is the winner from Campbellsville High School, and Dylan Quinn is the winner from Taylor County High School.

    Arnold and Quinn will receive a $4,000 scholarship to Campbellsville University, paid in $1,000 increments for four years.
