The Party Shop, owned by Danna and Gary Scott, recently relocated to 121 Casey Street Suite F, across from Jim-E-Lube. The Party Shop offers birthday party supplies and dcor, bridal shower supplies and dcor, bachelorette/bachelor party supplies, cake decorating supplies and balloon bouquet delivery.

John Wayne Kessler, apprentice auctioneer and sales associate with Kessler Auction & Realty Co., has been elected to a one-year term on the Kentucky Auctioneers Association board of directors.

Kessler's election occurred during the KAA's annual convention recently in Bowling Green.

Kessler becomes the youngest person ever elected to the association's board of directors.

The KAA was founded in 1958 and its membership is made up of professional auctioneers from across the state.

Experience Works, the nation's largest training and employment organization for mature workers, is searching for Kentucky's outstanding older worker. Experience Works Prime Time Awards program is part of Experience Works' national effort to raise awareness of the contributions made by older individuals and to break down barriers associated with the hiring of all older workers. Outstanding older workers from every state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico will be honored in Washington, D.C., and in their home states for their contributions to the workforce and local communities.

Beginning Feb. 18 and continuing through Feb. 22, Taylor County Future Farmers of America will take part in National FFA Week.

This is a week celebrated by FFA members all over the country in honor of Presidents' Day. Taylor County FFA has been celebrating the week for more than 30 years, and has another week of celebration planned for later this year.

Today, which is Presidents' Day, begins FFA Week for Taylor County FFA. The chapter will celebrate by attending Mr. Gattis' for fellowship and food, and later going to Green River Cinema 6 for a movie.
