  • Free diabetes classes scheduled

    Several free diabetes management classes have been planned for May and June.

    The classes will be at the Taylor County Health Department.

    A night class will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 11.

  • TRH to host life support class

    Taylor Regional Hospital will present a basic life support for heartsavers class on Friday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to noon at the TRH Learning & Resource Center located at 125B Kingswood Drive in Campbellsville. 

    The course is for the lay rescuer who needs a credential documenting successful completion of a BLS course. 

  • Woman's club plans garden tour

    Campbellsville Woman's Club hosted its meeting on Monday, May 18 at First United Methodist Church.

    Campbellsville University international students provided entertainment for the members.

    Club members discussed plans for the upcoming garden tour, planned for Saturday, June 27. The tour will be from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Members prepared a potluck meal.

    The next general meeting of Campbellsville Woman's Club will take place the fourth Monday in September.

     

  • Lions host eye screenings for children

    Campbellsville Lions Club hosted eye screenings for children 2 to 5 years old on May 29 at the Learning Tree CDC.

  • Sprowles speaks at BPW meeting

    Sherry Sprowles, right, lab coordinator at the new Sleep Disorders Center, was the guest speaker for April at the Campbellsville Business & Professional Women's Club. Sprowles handed out brochures describing the identification, diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea along with information on sleep and heart disease, restless leg syndrome, sleep and depression and snoring. She is pictured with member Renay England.

  • Girl Scout Troop 794 visits Kentucky Railway Museum

    Girl Scout Troop 794 visited the Kentucky Railway Museum in New Haven on May 30. While there, the troop took a train ride.   • Rockwell-Stillwell

    Amanda Lynn Rockwell of Greensburg and Aaron Keith Stillwell of Campbellsville will exchange wedding vows on Saturday, June 20.

    Rockwell is the daughter of Chrys and Terry Runnels of Greensburg and the late Chuck Rockwell.

    Stillwell is the son of Debbie and Keith Stillwell of Campbellsville.

    The wedding ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Mt. Roberts Baptist Church in Campbellsville. A double reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall for the couple and her sister, Ashley Nicole Rockwell, and Barney Lee Smothers, who are marrying the same day.
