A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with traffic violations after being stopped by Campbellsville Police.

According to a news release, Officer Scotty Perian was patrolling on Handley Avenue last Friday at 8:13 p.m. when he saw a pickup truck with three male occupants experiencing equipment difficulties.

The report states that, after stopping the vehicle, Perian learned that the driver, Ernst F. Ford, 46, of 305 Handley Ave., did not have a driver's license.

A vacant home on Tebbs Bend Road was destroyed by fire on Thursday at about 5:20 p.m.

According to a Taylor County Fire & Rescue news release, firefighters were dispatched to 152 Tebbs Bend Road and found a two-story home with heavy fire in the rear and upstairs.

The 22 firefighters were unable to enter the home because of the large volume of fire, which made the structure unsafe.

The firefighters were on the scene for about three hours with four apparatus.

The cause of the fire hasn't yet been determined.

A Campbellsville man was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday.

According to a Campbellsville Police report, the crash occurred at 7:45 p.m. at South Central Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

April Brewer, 38, of Campbellsville, was traveling east on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when, according to the report, she pulled from a stopped position into the path of a motorcycle operated by William J. Simpson, 27, of Campbellsville.
