    The following businesses were inspected by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department using the scale below.

    • 70 to 84, business must be re-inspected within 30 days.

    • Less than 70, a suspension of permit notice is sent to owner; if owner doesn't reply within 10 days, the permit will be revoked and the business will be closed.

  • Police investigate burglary

    Campbellsville Police investigated a burglary at a home on North Hoskins Avenue in Campbellsville on June 6 and arrested and charged two Campbellsville residents.

    Officers Daniel Forbis and Roy Rodgers responded to the address and determined that someone broke into the home and stolen items valued at $1,250.

    Evidence collected at the scene led Forbis and Rodgers to a home on West Broadway.

    Officers observed the vehicle that was described by witnesses at the scene that allegedly contained the stolen items.

  • Danville man charged with making meth in Campbellsville

     

    A Danville man was arrested Thursday, June 21, and charged with making methamphetamines after a traffic stop.

    At about 6:50 p.m., Campbellsville Police Officer Ryan Jewell stopped a vehicle driven by Adam W. Lee, 30, of 105B E. Jefferson St., for failure to wear a seat belt.

    According to a news release, upon further contact with Lee, Jewell found that he did not have a driver's license in his possession. Jewell then found that Lee was wanted on a warrant issued in Boyle County for a contempt of court charge.

  • Man arrested after striking jail with vehicle

    Campbellsville Police arrested a Campbellsville man on Monday after he allegedly ran into the Taylor County Detention Center's sally port with his vehicle.

    According to a news release, police responded to a call of damage to the detention center at 8:17 p.m.

    Officer Brian Morgan saw Elwin F. Hardin, 71, of 115 Durrett St. driving a 2001 Chrysler.

    The report states that Elwin reportedly drove his vehicle into the overhead doors that lead to the sally-port area where police vehicles deliver prisoners.
