    • 70 to 84, business must be reinspected within 30 days.

  • Resident accused of smoking marijuana with minor

     

    A Campbellsville teenager has been arrested and charged with smoking marijuana with a 16-year-old.

    Stevi Shirley, 18, of 84 Anna Court, was arrested Monday, March 25, at 11:54 p.m.

    According to Shirley's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police Officer Scotty Perian received a complaint of possible illegal activity at the Anna Court home.

    Upon arrival, Perian wrote in court records, Shirley answered the door and he allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the residence.

  • Resident charged with selling heroin

     

    A Campbellsville man has been charged with selling heroin in an indictment recently unsealed by a Taylor Circuit Court judge.

    A grand jury may seal an indictment if there is a possibility that the accused will try to evade police.

    Jason Yocum, 30, of 110 E. Walnut St., was charged in two separate indictments with two counts of first-degree selling less than 2 grams of heroin.

    Bond in one case was set at $2,000 cash, and at $2,500 cash in the other.

  • One injured in Smith Ridge crash

    A Campbellsville woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Smith Ridge Road last Thursday.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office news release, Chicquita Whitlock, 51, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu east on Smith Ridge Road at 3:48 p.m.

    She lost control of her vehicle, the report states, drove across the westbound lane and struck a fence.

    Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS personnel transported Whitlock to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of a leg injury. She was treated and released.

  • One injured in KY 210 crash

    A Bradfordsville woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on KY 210 on Wednesday night.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Sharlet Whitehead, 38, was traveling east in a 2005 Dodge Durango at 5:33 p.m. when she attempted to pass vehicles and left the roadway. Whitehead struck a guardrail and continued across both lanes of traffic and left the eastbound shoulder.

    The report states that Whitehead was ejected from her vehicle and flown to University of Louisville for treatment.

    At press time, she was listed in fair condition.

  • Mother accused of endangering her children

    A Campbellsville woman has been accused of locking her children inside a van while she was inside her home using drugs.

    Tasha M. Miller, 31, of 824 Farms Ridge Road, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 14.

    According to Miller's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police Officer Brandon Wilson was dispatched to a home on Buckner Street home after receiving a report that a baby was crying inside a van parked on the street.
