  • One injured in Saloma Road crash

    A Campbellsville woman has been treated and released after a two-vehicle crash last Saturday on Saloma Road.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Rondal Honeycutt, 66, of 4129 Wooleyville Road in Campbellsville, was traveling north on Saloma Road at 12:32 p.m. in a 1997 Ford Ranger truck. The report states that Brittany Milby, 25, of 425 Timothy Trail in Campbellsville, was traveling south in a 1993 Nissan.

    At the intersection of Saloma Road and Old Pitman Road, Honeycutt attempted to turn left and turned into Milby's path.

  • KSP dispatcher celebrates telecommunicators week

     

    This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, a time set aside to recognize the more than 200,000 individuals throughout the U.S. who play critical roles in the delivery of public safety services.

    Often called the "unsung heroes of public safety," these men and women provide a lifeline to residents in need and officers in the field. They serve as an unseen, but vital link in keeping law enforcement officers and the public safe at all times of the day or night.

  • Police celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunications Week

    Campbellsville Police Department is celebrating the week of April 14-20 as National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.

    This week, sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment and render life-saving assistance to the world's residents.

  • Resident arrested, charged with DUI, assaulting officers

     

    A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with DUI and several other traffic violations.

    Joshua E. Cochran, 32, of 203B Sheridan Drive, was arrested Thursday, March 28, at 10:03 p.m.

    According to Cochran's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police Officer Roy Rodgers saw him driving recklessly in front of another off-duty officer.

    After a search, officers found that Cochran had three outstanding arrest warrants.

  • One injured in Pitman Road crash

    A Campbellsville man was injured in a one-vehicle crash last Sunday on Old Pitman Road.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Benjamin L. Clark, 27, of 1075 Sanders Road, was traveling east on Old Pitman Road when he lost control of his 1992 Chevrolet S-10 truck and struck a culvert.

    The report states that Clark traveled across Forest Hills Drive, struck a sign post and then traveled about 50 feet into a yard before coming to a rest.

  • Resident accused of stealing from houseboat

     

    A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with stealing from someone's houseboat.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Benjamin Sallee, 20, of 520 Meader St., was arrested Sunday at 1 a.m.

    The report states that sheriff's deputies received information about a possible theft of several items from a houseboat on Green River Lake.

    After an investigation, the report states, deputies learned the items stolen might be at a home on Meader Street.
