  • Two charged with stealing money, computer

     

    Two Campbellsville residents have been arrested and charged with stealing money and a computer.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a complaint on Jan. 14 that someone had broken into a vehicle and stolen $1,700 and a laptop computer. The money was from a local business and was to be taken to a bank the next day.

  • Resident charged with selling drugs

    A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with selling drugs.

    Thomas Marcum Grammer II, 25, of 1898 Old Lebanon Road, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28.

    According to Grammer's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police Sgt. Shannon Wilson received a complaint of someone possibly driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

    Wilson made contact with Grammer as he was walking near a gas station. Records state that Grammer failed several field sobriety tests. Wilson arrested Grammer and charged him with DUI.

  • Woman injured after striking deer with vehicle

    A Columbia woman was injured Friday after she struck a deer with her vehicle.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Sidney Coffey, 23, of 215 Clinton St., was traveling south on Bengal Road at 1:57 p.m. in a 2007 Nissan Versa.

    Coffey told deputies that a deer ran into the path of her vehicle and she swerved to miss it. Her vehicle ran off the roadway, then re-entered the road. The report states that Coffey overcorrected and her vehicle left the other side of the roadway.

  • Man charged with stealing gun

    A Campbellsville man has been charged and arrested for stealing a breaking into a home and stealing a gun.

    Joshua L. Skaggs, 30, of 52 Capps Road, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

    According to court records, Taylor County Sheriff's deputies received a call reporting a possible theft on Beartrack Road earlier that day. The residence had been allegedly entered and a gun had been stolen.

    Campbellsville Police officers found the suspect's vehicle and found the stolen weapon.
