  • Woman charged with shooting at vehicle

     

    A Campbellsville woman has been arrested and charged after she allegedly shot a gun at a vehicle.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Melinda Hubbard, 48, of 359 Pruyear Road, was arrested Friday at 7:20 p.m.

    The report states that deputies received a complaint that a vehicle had been shot on Finley Ridge Road.

    Upon arrival at the scene, deputies learned that a person had been driving when the driver's side door was shot with a shotgun at close range. The driver wasn't injured in the shooting.

  • Columbia man charged with burglary

     

    A Columbia man has been arrested and charged with burglarizing a Taylor County home.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Ricky D. George, 45, was arrested Tuesday at 1:57 p.m.

    The report states that Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton saw two men at a home on Heather Drive and he believed they were acting suspiciously.

    Newton stopped the vehicle the men were driving. After an investigation, the report states, Newton learned items from the home had been taken and placed on the home's front yard.

  • Mannsville man accused of having deadly weapon

     

    A Mannsville man has been arrested and charged with having a concealed deadly weapon.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, deputies responded on Sunday to a call of an individual inside a church with a handgun.

    The report states that deputies found Michael Gribbin, 33, outside the church parking lot when they arrived. Gribbin told deputies that he had a gun in his pocket.

    Church members told deputies, according to the report, that Gribbin hadn't threatened anyone and the gun was seen next to him in a pew.

  • One injured in Collins Street crash

    A Campbellsville resident was injured in a two-vehicle crash last Wednesday on Collins Street near Roberts Road.

    According to a Campbellsville Police report, Guy Wood, 52, of Campbellsville, was driving a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle and Katherine Spaulding, 20, of Springfield, was driving a 2009 Pontiac when they crashed at 5:43 p.m.

    Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS personnel transported Wood to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment. He was treated and released. There is no record of Spaulding having been treated at TRH.

  • Resident charged with DUI, selling drugs

    A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with selling drugs after he allegedly drove while intoxicated.

    William B. Ford, 35, of 630 Lebanon Ave., was arrested Friday, Aug. 23, at 6:55 a.m.

    According to Ford's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police Officer Nelson Bishop found Ford passed out in his vehicle in a parking lot.

    Court records state that Ford's vehicle was in drive and Ford was sitting in the driver's seat with his foot on the brake.

  • One injured in Stoner Creek crash

    A Liberty woman was injured after she swerved her vehicle to avoid hitting a deer.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Leigh A. Kane, 41, of 8818 Dry Creek Road, was traveling east on Stoner Creek Road last Wednesday at 5:23 p.m. in a 2005 Saturn SUV.

    The report states that a deer entered the path of Kane's vehicle and she left the roadway to the left and struck a tree.

    Campbellsville/Taylor County EMS and Taylor County Fire & Rescue personnel responded.
