  • Two accused of breaking into home, assaulting occupant

     

    Two Greensburg residents have been arrested and charged after they allegedly broke into a Taylor County home and assaulted someone inside.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, deputies received a complaint on Thursday of two people forcing their way into a Bass Ridge Road home at about 11:30 p.m.

    Deputies arrived at the scene and found a man had been assaulted during the incident. He was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of head injuries.

  • One injured in South Columbia crash

    A Campbellsville man was injured Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash on South Columbia Avenue.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Wayne Johnson, 33, was driving a 2009 Dodge when he left the roadway and came to rest in a field at about 8:30 a.m.

    Johnson was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was treated and released.

    Taylor County Sheriff's deputies Rodney Cox and Dickie Benningfield investigated.

  • Campbellsville woman accused of burglary

    A Campbellsville woman has been arrested and charged with committing burglary.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, deputies responded to a burglary on Dec. 7. An arrest warrant was issued for Caroline Dotson, 24, in connection with the burglary.

    The report states that a deputy, who was off duty at the time, saw Dotson driving and reported seeing her.

    Campbellsville Police Officer Andy Warren responded and arrested Dotson.

    She was lodged at the Taylor County Detention Center. Bond was set at $20,000.

  • Four injured in Friendship Pike crash

    Four people were injured Friday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 68 and Friendship Pike.

    According to a Campbellsville Police report, officers responded to the scene at 7:26 a.m.

    Ronna Mills of Campbellsville was driving a 2011 Nissan east on U.S. 68, the report states, when she failed to stop for a traffic light at Friendship Pike and U.S. 68 and struck a 2007 Dodge passenger car operated by Christopher Williams of Campbellsville. Williams was traveling southbound on Friendship Pike going through the intersection.

  • Food Inspections for Jan. 10

    The following businesses were inspected by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department using the scale below.

    • 85 to 100, pass inspection.

    • 70 to 84, business must be reinspected within 30 days.

    • Less than 70, a suspension of permit notice is sent to owner; if owner doesn't reply within 10 days, the permit will be revoked and the business will be closed.
