  • One injured in New Columbia Road crash

    A Campbellsville man was injured when his vehicle slid on black ice and he struck a guardrail.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Nathaniel Echols, 68, of 717 High Pine, was traveling south on Tuesday at 10:28 a.m. on New Columbia Road. He struck a patch of black ice and lost control of his 2002 Ford F150, struck a guardrail and overturned.

    Campbellsville and Taylor County Fire & Rescue personnel freed Echols after he became trapped inside his truck.

  • Taylor County Sheriff's Office statistics

    The Taylor County Sheriff's Office recently released its December activity report.

    The report includes 29 cases opened, 67 criminal arrests, 21 traffic collisions worked, four injury collisions worked, 63 arrest warrants served, 147 civil papers served, 21 citations issued, three DUI arrests, 467 complaints answered, 83 vehicles inspected, 1,286 hours worked and 14,461 miles driven.

  • Kentucky State Police statistics

    During the month of December, Kentucky State Police troopers working in the Post 15 area investigated 17 traffic collisions. Post 15 includes Taylor, Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell and Washington counties.

    There were five fatal collisions during the month of December in the Post 15 area.

    Hubert H. Eads, 72, of Russell Springs, was killed on Dec. 3 in Russell County.

    Colin D. Whitfill, 19, of Lebanon, was killed on Dec. 6 in Marion County.

  • One injured in KY 210 crash

    A Campbellsville man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on KY 210 last Thursday.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Timothy Greenwell, 48, of 10079 Hodgenville Road, was driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma east on KY 210 at 1:35 p.m.

    The report states that, when Greenwell had driven about seven miles out of Campbellsville, he lost control after sliding on black ice. Greenwell's vehicle struck a guardrail.

  • Lebanon man charged with selling drugs in Taylor County

     

    A Lebanon man has been arrested and charged with selling drugs in Taylor County.

    Anthony T. Graves, 44, of 65 Sunrise Drive, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 26, at 3:42 p.m. in Marion County.

    According to Graves' arrest warrant, while in Taylor County, he allegedly had an unlabeled bottle containing 80 Clonazepam pills in his vehicle on Sept. 25. The pills are valued at about $240, court records state.
