Preliminary statistics indicate that 11 people died in 11 separate crashes on Kentucky's roadways from Monday, Jan. 21, through Sunday, Jan. 27.

Two single fatality motor vehicle crashes occurred in Jefferson County. One of the fatalities was not wearing a seat belt.

Single fatality motor vehicle crashes occurred in Adair, Christian, Clark, Estill, Laurel, Nelson and Pike counties. The victims in Christian, Estill, Laurel, Nelson and Pike were not wearing seat belts. The Pike County crash involved the suspected use of alcohol.

Three people were injured Saturday in a one-vehicle crash on Hayes Road.

According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office report, Martha McFarland, 58, of 7820 Highway 1574 in Liberty, was driving a 1998 Mazda truck down a driveway near Stoner Creek and Hayes Road.

McFarland told sheriff's deputies that she was attempting to turn her vehicle at the intersection of the driveway and the roadway but skidded, went over a steep embankment and into a drainage ravine.

The following businesses were inspected by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department using the scale below.

• 85 to 100, pass inspection.

• 70 to 84, business must be re-inspected within 30 days.

• Less than 70, a suspension of permit notice is sent to owner; if owner doesn't reply within 10 days, the permit will be revoked and the business will be closed.

A Campbellsville woman has been accused of unlawfully accessing someone's bank account and stealing more than $4,000.

Sarah Ann McKinley Baise, 29, of 306 Sharon Drive, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 22.

According to court records, Baise allegedly accessed someone's bank account illegally between May 18 and Dec. 16 and made electronic transactions totaling $4,430.24.

Baise was charged with 41 counts of second-degree forgery, which is a Class D felony punishable by as much as five years in prison.
