  • Resident charged with growing marijuana

     

    A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with growing marijuana.

    John D. Smith, 37, of 1629 E. Broadway, Lot 9, was arrested Monday, July 21, at 12:33 a.m.

    According to Smith's arrest citation, Campbellsville Police received a call that he was fighting with a family member and had been drinking and using drugs.

  • Taylor County Sheriff statistics

    The Taylor County Sheriff's Office released its June activity report recently.

    The report includes 35 cases opened, 81 criminal arrests, 20 traffic collisions worked, seven injury collisions worked, one fatal collision worked, 67 arrest warrants served, 176 civil papers served, 24 citations issued, four DUI arrests, 423 complaints answered, 108 vehicles inspected, 1,165 hours worked and 13,761 miles driven.

  • Kentucky State Police statistics

    During the month of June, Kentucky State Police troopers working in the Post 15 area investigated 21 traffic collisions in Taylor, Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell and Washington counties.

    There were three fatal collisions during the month of June in the Post 15 area.

    Wilma J. Thompson, 77, of Tompkinsville, was killed on June 4 in Metcalfe County.

    Stephen C. Green, 43, of Bradfordsville, was killed on June 6 in Taylor County.
