  • Campbellsville man charged with burglary

    A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with burglarizing a local home.

    Mark Ballentine, 52, of Duffy Street, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 9:48 p.m.

    According to Ballentine's arrest citation, police officers were dispatched to a possible burglary at a home on Buckner Street. The alleged perpetrator was a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

    Campbellsville Police Officers Jacob Hedgespeth and Norman Simpson responded and found the back door open and the glass inside it broken.

  • Louisville man charged with theft in Taylor County

     

    A Louisville man has been arrested and charged with stealing tools in Taylor County.

    According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office news release, it was reported in June that several hand tools had been stolen from a pickup truck near a home on Hickory Grove Road in Taylor County.

    While investigating the theft, the release states, sheriff's deputies discovered that a man had pawned several tools at a shop in Elizabethtown and those tools were the ones reported stolen.
