The Taylor County Farmers' Market had its opening day Saturday.
The market, located on Animal Shelter Road, so far has bedding plants, blueberry bushes, eggs, hanging baskets, chicken, beef and pork.
There are eight farm families who are members of the market this year. Cathy Bunnell, one of the eight, said in the coming weeks there will be strawberries, sweet corn and more, with different vegetables and fruits ripening through the summer months.
The Farmers' Market will be open each Saturday until October from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
