Those who go to Taylor Regional Hospital for treatment or to visit loved ones will soon have no place to smoke while there.
TRH will become a smoke- and tobacco-free campus on Friday.
Jane Wheatley, TRH's chief executive officer, says the policy will apply to the hospital's campus, the James Graham Brown Cancer Center and the Urgent Care Center in Green County.
At TRH, patients and staff had been able to smoke at a gazebo on site and at areas near wings 2 and 3.
"After Jan. 1, they will not be able to smoke there," Wheatley said.
