After nearly four decades, Allen “A.J.” Johnson will hang up his turnout gear. Well, at least for a while.
And even though he is leaving his chief post, a Johnson will continue to fight fires and provide rescue support for Campbellsville residents.
The Campbellsville Fire & Rescue chief has decided to retire, according to a news release from Campbellsville Mayor Tony Young’s office.
Johnson said his son, Alex, has been offered a career position at Campbellsville Fire & Rescue.
