    Monday - Hot dog on bun, potato wedges, peas and carrots, mandarin oranges, apple and milk.

    Tuesday - Lasagna, romaine and spinach salad, garlic bread, peach cup and milk.

    Wednesday - Grilled chicken patty, mashed potatoes, green beans, fruit cocktail, banana and milk.

    Thursday - Cheese pizza, cauliflower and carrots with dip, corn, applesauce and milk.

    Friday - Professional development. No school.

  • Taylor, Green county students compete at state conference

     

    Green County Area Technology students competed at Health Occupation Students of America state leadership conference March 6-9 in Louisville. Students from Taylor County participated.

    HOSA is a national student-lead organization that gives students the opportunity to learn about health related careers and leadership skills. More than 1,000 students competed at the conference and are all seeking education in health care and a future in the medical field.

    There are more than 55 competitive events in which students can prepare and compete.

  • TCES students places second in balloon pop competition

     

    Dawson Propes, a third-grade student at Taylor County Elementary School, recently placed second in the Rube Goldberg balloon pop competition hosted by the University of Louisville Speed School.

    Propes had to create an invention, which included five steps and two simple machines.

    His balloon popped on the first try.

     

  • CMS students win at Beta competition

     

    Campbellsville Middle School Beta Club members Blair Lamb placed first in the special talent competition and Jeremiah Jackson placed third in the essay competition at the recent Beta Club convention.

    Both students are eligible to move on to national competition in Mobile, Ala., in June.

  • GCU hosts National African American Parent Involvement Day

     

    Greater Campbellsville United and Campbellsville Independent Schools celebrated National African American Parent Involvement Day on Feb. 11 by inviting parents to eat lunch with their children for $1.

    More than 100 parents participated in the annual event.

    Campbellsville Elementary School recently named its Students of the Week.

  • TCES names Writers of the Week

     

    Taylor County Elementary School recently named its Writers of the Week for the week of March 8.

    Taylor County High School recently named its Students of the Week for the week of Feb. 25 through March 4.

  • CES kindergarten registration opens

    Registration for kindergarten students entering Campbellsville Independent School for the 2013-2014 school year is now open.

    Children enrolling must be 5 years old by or on Oct. 1, 2013.

    Parents whose children attend Campbellsville preschool or head start will complete registration there.

    Parents with children entering kindergarten in August will need to contact Campbellsville Elementary School between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Parents can call 465-4561 to register by phone or come by the school for enrollment information.
