  • KCS students hear from fire chief

    Kentucky Christian School first graders recently heard a presentation by Taylor County Fire Department Assistant Chief Bill Hall and saw the fire prevention trailer.

  • LWC winter commencement is Saturday

    Lindsey Wilson College will graduate the first half of the Class of 2007-2008 on Saturday morning. The college will award a total of 247 degrees - 176 undergraduate degrees and 71 graduate degrees.

    Hall of Fame journalist Al Smith, the former host of Kentucky Educational Television's Comment on Kentucky, will deliver the commencement address.

    The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. ET in Biggers Sports Center.

  • CES donates to food pantry

    Campbellsville Elementary School Principal Linda Handley is pictured with food that students collected for the Taylor County Food Pantry as part of Red Ribbon Week activities. Students collected more than 1,500 cans during the week and also raised $126 for cystic fibrosis.

  • Tigers march in inaugural parade

    Campbellsville University Tiger Marching Band members attending Gov.   • Thomas earns LPN degree

    Tara Whitney Thomas graduated Nov. 27 from the Boyle County Technical College's Danville campus with a licensed practical nursing degree and an associate's degree in applied science.

    She is the daughter of Darlene and Richard Britton and John and Lisa Thomas, all of Campbellsville. Her grandparents are John and Helen Mattingly of Calvary and the late Jack and Dotty Thomas.

    Thomas is currently employed at Taylor Regional Hospital.

  • KCS students deliver to food pantry

    Kentucky Christian School fifth graders delivered more than 400 items to the Taylor County Food Pantry recently as part of their Thanksgiving ministry project.

  • TCMS teacher receives MAC Grant

    Vicky Newton, a teacher at Taylor County Middle School, was presented with a MAC Grant on Monday, Dec. 10 at a special check presentation in front of her students and co-workers.

    MAC Grants are monetary awards to help teachers incorporate hands-on activities in their classroom that will make their lessons more meaningful to students.
