  • TCHS names Students of the Week

  • CES recognizes students for AR points

    Campbellsville Elementary students Austin Chandler and Mackenzie Murrell were recognized at an assembly recently for earning 100 Accelerated Reader points. Blair Lamb was also recognized for earning 200 AR points. Chandler and Murrell are in Garnetta Murrell's fourth-grade class and Lamb is in Debbie Baugh's third-grade class.

  • Shively discusses medical mission work at CU

    Dr. Eugene Shively, a Taylor Regional Hospital surgeon, discussed his many medical mission trips at Campbellsville University's chapel service recently.

    Shively has aided in several medical missions during his years as a doctor. He visited Cameroon in 2000; Jamaica three times during 2001 and 2002; Togo, a part of West Africa, in 2003; Kenya in 2005; St. Vincent's Island and the Grenadines, located in the Caribbean Sea, in 2006 and the Galpagos Islands in 2007.

    Taylor County Elementary School's Writers of the Week for Wednesday, April 16 are as follows: Ava Murphy, kindergarten; Gabby Johnson, first grade; Ben Litchfield, second grade; Rylen Smith, third grade; Clayton Russell, fourth grade; and Cindy Gilpin, fifth grade.

  • CU student group administers new community service program

    Kentucky Education Association - Student Program Campbellsville University chapter adopted Campbellsville Elementary School's library.

    On April 17, NEA, KEA and KEA-SP members gathered alongside other volunteers from the community to host the first annual Outreach to Read Library Make-Over.

  • CES students honored for earning 100 AR points

    Campbellsville Elementary students Caroline McMahan, Emily Squires, Heather Bailey and Alex Bailey received a Reading Medal for earning 100 Accelerated Reader points at a recent celebration assembly. McMahan and Squires are third-graders, while the Baileys are fourth-graders.

  • Middle school hosting yard sale Saturday, May 10

    Taylor County Class of 2012 will be hosting a yard sale on Saturday.

    The yard sale will take place on the front lawn of Taylor County Middle School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with many miscellaneous items.

    All proceeds benefit the Taylor County eighth-grade celebration. Parents with items to donate should arrive at the school - with items already priced - before 9 a.m.
