• CU hires health facilitator

    Christie Glasscock of Lebanon has been hired as an allied health facilitator at Campbellsville University's Technology Training Center, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

    Glasscock graduated with her associate degree in nursing from Midway College in 1993. She received an additional associate degree in career and tech education from Eastern Kentucky University in 2009.

  • CU hires instructor of music

    Matt Hodge, a native of Taylorsville, has been hired as an instructor of music and fine arts recruiter at Campbellsville University, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

    Hodge earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from CU in 2008 and received his Master of Arts in Music in 2010.

    He is a 2004 graduate of Bullitt East High School.

  • College Goal Sunday is Jan. 30

    College Goal Sunday, a statewide charitable program providing free information and assistance to families applying for college financial aid, will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 20 sites in 19 Kentucky communities, including Campbellsville University.

    The event will be from 2 to 4 p.m. in the banquet hall of the Badgett Academic Support Center.

    At Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, participants should go to the second floor of the Regional Postsecondary Education Center.

  • TCHS Show Choir to host 'Show for Dough'


    Taylor County High School Show Choir will host a "Show for Dough" concert on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Taylor County Middle School gymnasium.

    The show will feature solos from current choir members, alumni and guests as well as a preview of the show choir's spring show.

    Donations will be accepted at the door.

  • Tri-County Car Club to offer scholarship

    Tri-County Car Club

    A $500 scholarship is available for a graduating high school senior in the area planning to pursue an auto-related career.

    The Tri-County Car Club, based in Campbellsville, will award the scholarship in May. The club has members from several counties, including Taylor, Marion, Casey, Green, Nelson and LaRue.

    Campbellsville Elementary School recently honored students who met their Accelerated Reader goals. Students work with their teachers to set an individual AR goal for each nine weeks.
