    Taylor County Middle School released its honor roll for the second nine-week grading period. Students listed follow.

  • CU School of Nursing honors graduates

    Campbellsville University

    Campbellsville University's School of Nursing graduated 28 students in December, the largest nursing class yet. A ceremony in December honored the graduates.

    Students from Campbellsville honored include Amanda Gail Anderson, Suzanne Renee Davis, Leetta Jean Dial, James Daniel Edmonds, Brittany Elaine Knifley, Jordan Keely Rash Pittman, Joni Danielle Robinson Reynolds, Mary Frances Wise and Kristen Marie Wilson.

  • CES names Students of the Week

     

    Campbellsville Elementary School recently announced its Students of the Week.

  • INFAC donates $2,000 to TCHS

     

    The INFAC Corp. has donated $2,000 to improve educational opportunities for students at Taylor County School District.

    "INFAC North America is proud to be able to help the school and the community by this donation for our young people. Our hope is that our donation will enrich the lives of the students who may also become INFAC employees of the future," Brian Bland, general manager, said.

  • INFAC donates to Campbellsville schools

     

    INFAC North America Inc. recently presented Campbellsville Independent School District with a $2,000 donation.

  • Freeman is Taylor County's food and nutrition assistant

     

    In tough times, everyone needs a partner to make living a little easier.  That's where the Cooperative Extension Service's Expanded Food and Nutrition Program comes in.

    Taylor County has a new program assistant, Angela Freeman, a lifelong Taylor County resident whose interest in healthy living goes years back.

    A former health educator with the district health department and a preschool and physical education teacher, Freeman knows the importance of education on living a healthy lifestyle.

    We are in the business of serving people. Your Taylor County Public Library is open 50 hours a week, six days a week.

    We have a bookmobile that travels throughout the county. We have an outreach librarian who reads to almost 600 children a month.

    We have public computers available, free Internet access and many valuable software programs. We offer adult programs like movies and craft time.

    Taylor County Elementary School recently announced its Writers of the Week for the week of Jan. 11.

  • TCHS names Students of the Week

     

    Taylor County High School recently named its Students of the Week for the week of Jan. 7-14.

  • Transportation Cabinet announces winners of Adopt-a-Highway poster contest

     

    A student from Taylor County Elementary School has won a first place prize in this year's Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Adopt-a-Highway poster contest.

    In the age 6 to 8 category, Arabella Grace Long took home first place winnings.

    "The purpose of the contest is to increase environmental awareness among children," said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock. "We hope to educate our young people about the damaging effects of litter, and to change attitudes and behaviors about littering."
