  • TCMS names Students of the Week

     

    Taylor County Middle School recently named its Students of the Week for the week of Jan. 6.

    They are Tori Sanders, Zachery Johnson, Devon Ray, Betty Pickett, Carter Murphy and Josh Merritt.

  • Chowning receives honorary doctoral degree

    Campbellsville University

    The Rev. John Chowning, Campbellsville University's vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to the president, received a honorary doctoral degree in public service at CU's winter commencement ceremony on Dec. 13.

    Dr. Michael V. Carter, CU's president, called Chowning, of Campbellsville, with whom he has worked 15 years, an "incredible writer, thinker and problem solver."

  • Sacred Heart homeschool class presents play

     

    Sacred Heart Homeschool Co-op Creative Ministries Class presented a Thanksgiving play on Nov. 15.

    Sherri Walker directed the play.

    Sacred Heart Homeschool Co-op is non-denominational.

  • Locals graduate from Campbellsville University

    Campbellsville University graduated 196 students in two ceremonies Friday, Dec. 13, at Ransdell Chapel.

    The following students from Campbellsville received degrees from Campbellsville University:

    Associate Degree in Nursing

  • FFA team finished seventh

     

    The Taylor County High School Future Farmers of America veterinary science team placed seventh out of 21 teams during a competition at Murray State University on Nov. 20.

    Jodie Phillips was ranked as the seventh highest individual.

  • TCES names Writers of the Week

     

    Taylor County Elementary School recently named its Writers of the Week for the week of Dec. 16.

    They are Hayley Etherington, Cael Miracle, Evie Sapp, Alaina Gwilliam, Julie Park and Gracie Pogue.

    Taylor County Elementary School recently named its Good Deed winners for the week of Dec. 16.

    They are Christopher Mitchell, Remi Armstrong, Lathan Hamilton, Kaitlyn Curry and Hannah Marcum.

    Nearly 425 students received degrees from Lindsey Wilson College on Saturday, including some from Campbellsville.
